Modern Magik is really a combination of many things; spell casting, mathematics, ritual, chemistry or alchemy, meditation, dream analyses, astrology, knowledge of cycles, geometry, psychology and go ‘ol common sense!

It is important to realise that magik is always in motion but we only feel its effect when our conscious is awakened.

As the planet feels a financial pinch, we as astrologers can harness the power of Jupiter's fortitude in granting vocational success and monetary abundance by creating a talisman known as the Jupiter Square.

Though I have been aware of the synchronicity of Magik and Mind Power most of my life, at testing junctures one tends to forget to gather and quiet the soul. I had been listening to a CD entitled ‘The Magik of Believing' and found that two of the exercises mentioned had a profound and deep effect on me. Neither of which, to my surprise were all that revolutionary as I stumbled upon the same instruction given in Book Four of the Liber ABA by Aleister Crowley (1875-1847).

In honor of my trip to Greece, I thought I might share a simple spell I heard about whilst on my visit. I have not yet tested its strength or validity so perhaps those of you wishing to try it would be kind enough to give me some feedback.

To give you all some idea of what type of magic might have been cast prior to the time of the infamous witch hunts carried out in Brittan and Europe during the 17 hundreds (as depicted in The Malice Malificarian) I decided to include one that did NOT have to do with manipulating weather conditions, but rather, is a kind of divination love spell entitled ‘The Dreaming Cake Lovespell'.
