Comfrey (Symphytum Officinale): The embodiment of a Saturnine Herb
Culpeper describes the rulership of Comfrey as: "a herb of Saturn, and I suppose under the sign Capricorn". The Saturnine nature of comfrey is readily reflected by its preference for shady places that are cool and damp. The leaves of the plant are rough from numerous stiff hairs while the veins of the leaf have a blackish tinge that produces a characteristic shadowy complexion to the foliage. Though the plant can endure sunny locations the sheer intensity of its growth in a few seasons soon produces a dense thicket. The concentration of foliage rapidly creates a sombre darkness in which few other plants flourish. One of the ancient folk names of the plant was blackewoort.
In any plant Saturn rules the roots, which delve down into the earth providing foundation and stability to the aerial parts. |

Sometimes the hardest thing to do as an astrologer is demonstrate how astrology works. But in the OJ Simpson story we have a very good example, one which shows how cosmic events manifest as a clock on one’s life, timing events and outcomes.
Best known in America as a star college football player, OJ Simpson (born July 9, 1947 in San Francisco, CA at 8:08am PST) came to worldwide notice when accused of murdering Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in 1996. Interestingly, this trial began on January 25, 1995, just as Pluto rolled into Sagittarius. Acquitted of all charges in the criminal trial, OJ would later be convicted in civil court on the same matter. The multi-million dollar judgment levied against him in that suit apparently remains unsatisfied. |

What Is Psychological Astrology? |

On the face of it, psychological astrology can simply be defined as a synthesis of psychology and astrology. But it is much more than that. Each discipline - astrology and psychology - is radically transformed and empowered by its marriage to the other. Indeed, there are so many correlations and possibilities for cross-fertilization that one could easily spend an entire lifetime exploring the connection. Suffice to say here that the resulting hybrid, which is sometimes called "astropsychology", is analogous to the conversion of a WWI bi-plane into the space shuttle. |
