CARD ON WHICH TO MEDITATE:
The Sun

Although the sun is one of the only two cards in the Tarot deck not associated with any particular sign of the Zodiac (the other being the Hanged Man), it truly captures the essence of what is metaphorically represented by this time of year (especially for those of us living in the Southern hemisphere enjoying summer).

What you have is a cheerful toddler with a warm smile riding a mythical, pure white Unicron. Both drenched in sunlight and surrounded by Sunflowers. A perfect symbol of how one should choose to see out 2007. Though there may have been difficulties for some, now is the time to simply rejoice in and appreciate that which we take forward from our experiences into the future.

Be thankful for everything that has taken place as today's child is father to tomorrow's man.

The dawning of the sun brings with it a brand new day in which we can strive to do and better. Knowing that each moment is precious and absolutely nothing is without meaning! Our lowest lows, our highest highs, our tantrums and mistakes, a song, a movie . . . they are all important signs that should not be taken for granted as they are divine instructions from the Universe. Be they ever so small or subtle we need to listen. This may require practice at clearing the mind of unnecessary clutter by taking time to relax.

With this I offer each of you a very special wish, since the Sun is also regarded as the 'Wish Card' of the Major Arcana signifying favourable results to the querent along with much happiness, achievement and joy!

Speaking of which, imagine the need to guard hell, anyway. Who in their right mind, according the mythic/theological representations of what hell is, would want to sneak in there?
