Card on which to meditate:
The Star
There is simply no more a
hopeful time then the
beginning of a new year. That
is precisely what the Star
denotes to the querent; hope,
opportunity and the promise
of good health.
Of course, for any scientist
or astrologer seeking to know
more and delve deeper,
having blind faith is not
enough! Which is what led
me to analyze the Star more
closely. A star nebula was
chosen for the cover of this
edition because of the phenomenon of the Star of
Bethlehem present at the birth of Christ. When we
wish, it is upon a star. When Sally (played by Sandra
Bullock in the movie Practical Magic) cast a spell to
bring into her life the man she thought could never
possibly exist only to ensure she would never fall in
love and subsequently never break or suffer a broken
heart, she made certain she would recognize him by
the star he carried (the policeman played by Adian Quinn).
Tinkerbell, the fairy in the
story Peter Pan (quite similar to an angel) was always
engulfed by fairy dust which twinkled resembling stars.
This substance when sprinkled on those without wings
suddenly gave them the power to fly. In fact, our very
reason for studying astrology is to understand what
the stars are trying to tell us.
I believe the key lies in this card.
Many years ago while learning Feng Shui, our tutor
would reiterate the phrase; time and space
combination. To which we thought; yes of course,
how obvious, we know that!. But he did not mean it
in the superficial sense nor because he was obsessed
with quantum physics. What he meant was that when
the planets are correctly positioned only then can we
anticipate a certain event. The planets being the angels
and the degrees between them the star(s) or rather
. . . time.
So technically, when the Star is present, one can be
assured that the time is right. That time, is right now! |
