Gloria has had an enduring interest in astrology since the early nineties (last century!) She then decided it was time to take astrology seriously and so completed Cynthia Thorburn's diploma in the late nineties. She has since completed a few other shorter courses. Her primary interest is in reconciling the psychology and genetics with the astrology of a person. This is supported by her voracious reading of biographies of ordinary people who live through extraordinary events. She has served on the committee since ASSA's re-inauguration in October 2004, initially responsible for subscriptions and was later voted Chair Person (August 2006). She still manages the subscriptions portfolio but is also now responsible for Aspects magazine layout.

Editor of Aspects: Suzi Wania

Suzi began studying astrology in earnest 11 years ago with Noel Tyl and is currently busy with his Masters Correspondence Course. It had long been an interest though as her mother is also an astrologer and mythology was her favourite subject at school. Her studies have taken her to both the U.K. and America where she was fortunate enough to experience U.A.C in Orlando, Florida in 2002. Her hope as editor of 'Aspects' is to make professional astrology more accessible to the general public with the view that it would be of great value to the younger generation. Having also researched criminal psychology and been involved in Tarot, Feng Shui and Magik for many years she feels a firm grounding in the workings of modern astrology as it relates to mental motivation and reaction as well as physiological dimensions of human existence. Not forsaking the depth of spiritual permeation.
The greatest part of astrology to her however is the friendships she has forged. With the Sun in Libra and Moon and Ascendant in Aquarius, her other interests include fashion design and Afghan hounds. But, on most days, you will find her on her small holding outside Johannesburg working in the family furniture business while completing the building work to her house.

Harry Waldauer is a semi professional astrologer, doing astrology on a part time basis. He has completed his Reiki masters and is an active Lifeline counsellor. He is currently doing a course in hypno-therapy and aims to be involved in alternative healing within the next few years. Astrology has been an extremely useful tool in helping people move forward and he is a regular contributor to Saturn's Corner, a free counselling service offered in the 'Aspects' magazine. Harry will be taking a 3 year study break, which means he will not be taking on new students for a while, and will also not be doing charts (please do not send referrals), for a number of reasons. This will, however, not affect his current students or his portfolio on the committee .
Speaking of which, imagine the need to guard hell, anyway. Who in their right mind, according the mythic/theological representations of what hell is, would want to sneak in there? - Philip Sedgwick
