The South African astrological community is keen to encourage and promote research into topics of interest to South African astrologers and others abroad who find our history, culture and peoples fascinating.
ASSA is about to launch a new initiative to provide ASSA members and other astrologers with an overview and some details about what research is being done in South Africa at present. This is the portal for the ASSA research thrust.
We would like to extend an invitation to all members to let us know what research they have been doing, whether it has been written up and /or published or not. Research topics can be several years in the investigation or can be current research.
South Africa has so many interesting people and many important events simply crying out for astrological sleuthing. Here are some topics that you may have researched or know of:
- Sport: Do our world-class sports stars (athletes, swimmers, cricketers, soccer players, rugby players, tennis players) show any astrological correlation with the Gauquelin studies?
- Health issues: HIV/AIDS – those who survive and those who succumb
- Entertainment: Our famous actors and actresses; pop stars.
- Literature: Our Nobel Prize winners in literature and drama
- African leaders in politics and business
- Successful women in any number of fields
- Shark attacks
- Mining disasters
- Wild life and endangered species
- Conservation areas and conflicts with commercial enterprises
