How it works – Partners and Members

Partners:

The companies/individuals listed below have been accepted as Lifestyle Partners by the Astrological Society of South Africa.

In return for the minimum 10% discount they are offering ASSA members on their services they receive the following:

• Listing on our partner page on our web site
• Free newsletter circulated in this regard to our database at various times during the year
• The Lifestyle Partner initiative will be listed as a benefit to ASSA members so all potential members who log onto our web site will view their details
• Our data base is in excess of 600 people – do note however that not all of them reside in Jhb or in South Africa
• Throughout the year we will devise marketing methods to show case our Lifestyle Partners to the best of our ability – in return we ask that they promote ASSA to the best of their ability
• For the non ASSA members among the Partners they will be invited to our year end function in 2009 at no charge – the normal entrance fee for non members is R100.00 per person

Terms and Conditions for Partners:

• Should you wish to withdraw your partnership at any stage a month's notice and reason for the termination is requested
• If this occurs prior to the end of the calendar year of 2009 we will request that you pay for our web site developers time to remove your details from our systems – we are not charging you anything to load them
• No astrology services may be discounted in any manner or form – should we be made aware of this we reserve the right to terminate the partnership
• The service you offer must relate to lifestyle – it must enhance the lifestyles of our members in some manner
• Should we receive reports from members of unsatisfactory service or behaviour then we reserve the right to terminate the partnership
• We request that you submit a report every 3 months to assist us in tracking the efficacy of this project – simply forward me a mail listing how many clients you have secured via this initiative

Members:

Terms and Conditions for ASSA members:

• Upon securing the services of any of our Lifestyle partners your current and valid ASSA membership card must be presented – the Partners will not honour the discount without it.
• The ID cards will be issued to all current members at the first monthly meeting in February – the onus is on you the member to ensure that you receive it.
• For new members the card will be issued once your membership is verified and acknowledged.
• Your ID book or driver's licence must be presented together with your membership card for verification of the identity.
• The benefit may not be passed onto a third party – the discount can only be awarded to the ASSA member.
• A minimum of 10% discount on services is offered by all of our Lifestyle Partners.
• ASSA cannot be held responsible for the quality of work provided by the partner nor for your satisfaction, however we will investigate any complaints that you submit. These must be submitted to the chairperson of ASSA and must be in writing.

She offers a full range of beauty and body treatments and will discount 10% on services for ASSA members. There will be no discounts on Clarins products as this price list is set by Clarins.

John Masina – Garden Design and Maintenance

John trained under Keith Kirsten and has been involved in the landscaping industry for over 10 years. He specializes in garden design, irrigation and water features. John employs young men from his community and trains them in the landscape industry and plays an active role in empowering unemployed youth in various communities. He also offers the service of attending to your garden's requirements on a seasonal basis – cutting back of overgrown gardens, repositioning of plants and the like.

Eugenie Rowson

I'm a freelance photographer, cinematographer & video editor. Depending on your visual requirements, I can provide you with any of these 3 services. I can photograph or film social events such as weddings & birthdays, as well as corporate functions such as awards evenings & product launches. Along with a CD containing the high-res images, these photographs can be made into a DVD slideshow set to the music of your choice & would then be packaged in a double-DVD case with a cover and labels on both discs.

The DVD slideshow can apply to photographs that you already have & want made into a DVD for an occasion such as a 21st or 50th birthday; whereby you provide me with pictures of the people & I'll edit it into a DVD to screen at the party. You can provide me with digital pictures or printed ones which I can then scan at a high resoltion. This is a fantastic way to narrate the story of a person's life through pictures that feature them at various ages & locations.

With regard to film production, I can shoot the footage myself & then edit it into a required time frame, or alternatively, you can provide me with your own footage & then I can edit it for you. This edited product would be presented in a DVD case with a cover & a disc label.

My rates are as follows:

• Photography for 1hr - R500

• Photography for a half-day event - R3 000
