ImageCard on which to meditate: The Hermit

Those of you familiar with Tarot might be perplexed with my choice in card for the month of February, but allow me to explain.

In many instances, the Hermit may indicate a time of forced isolation and loneliness ultimately resulting in a kind of depression which spirals into deeper and deeper levels. However, in my opinion, with the intuitive nature of Pisces energy, really optimizing the word “meditate” is key. Learning to harness the power that lies within; the power of one's own mind. Actively concentrating on finding one's centre by becoming quiet and still within a private and calm environment using the technique of meditation if need be. Discovering an innate strength which leaves us partly mystified.

In closing notice that the Hermit is carrying a lantern... This to me is beautifully symbolic of everyone's individual guiding light. No matter how dark the night or how faint the light; our innermost desires and intuition exists for a paramount purpose and MUST always be trusted! I like to draw upon a line from the movie ‘Under the Tuscan Sun' wherein Senior Martelli tells the heroine, Francis about the train tracks that were built over the Alpes connecting Venice and Vienna . They were built before there was a train in existence with the technology to make the journey, but, they did it anyway knowing ONE DAY, the train would come...

Remember, Pisces has a little something to do with FAITH as well.

Speaking of which, imagine the need to guard hell, anyway. Who in their right mind, according the mythic/theological representations of what hell is, would want to sneak in there?
