Card on which to meditate: Ace Of Swords

All the Aces are associated with new beginnings and the Ace of Swords (though the most macabre of the suits) is no exception. The fundamental difference being that these changes are normally extremely challenging and require very disciplined determination. One could perhaps liken the experience to undergoing basic army training! This seems very apt as we enter into the year of the Ox which is generally a year of hard work.

But, there is always an antidote and it usually goes hand-in-hand with the venom. It makes sense to deduce that in order to affect these new prospects, our loads must be lightened by cutting the umbilical cord of past preconceptions. In so doing, we should also be assured that we are chasing our goals with the purest intent, symbolized by the double helix of white bramble appearing on the card.

It's all a question of knowing what you REALLY want!

The one absolute ban is anything to do with the subject of astrology: It is the No.1 taboo. The big one. It’s never been broken. Half the people in this country totally believe in astrology. The other half think it’s crazy. So either way, if it goes on television, it is sure to offend half the people in this country. No network wants that.
