In Medieval times a King would consult with his astrologer, also known as his mathematician, before going to battle. The astrologer would need the location, date and time of the battle. Our hardworking astrologer would then need to relocate his King’s chart to that location, at the time of the battle.

EXPLODING THE MYTH OF THE 2012 MAYAN PROPHECY

The "Mayan Prophecy" has garnered a lot of hype, press and excitement over
the last few years - and also a lot of controversy. What is the meaning of
the Mayan Calendar, where does the prophecy come from and just what did the
Mayans say about 2012?
 
The 21st December 2012 signifies the end of a 26 000 year astronomical period and the beginning of a new one.
There will be a rare alignment between the earth and the sun on that day. In the past when such an alignment occurred because of the low consciousness of humanity calamities and catastrophes followed. However this time we have an opportunity to create a different and glorious new age – but we are all asked to do our part , for the outcome is not yet assured.
If we are ready, 2012 could be the start of a wonderful new way of living for all of us.

The mission of The Astrological Society of South Africa (ASSA) is to provide a network for astrologers who wish to share their knowledge with colleagues as well as with the layman.
